A historic and blooming dammuso located in Pantelleria, one of the most surreal and exciting islands in the Mediterranean. Dammuso Raggio di Sole, takes its name from an old tradition of the owner family, in memory of the countless suns that this structure has seen set. Located in a strategic position on the island, it makes it possible to reach the main destinations with a short trip through the most scenic and picturesque streets. Just a few steps from the most attractive bays and the village of Scauri, it has all the necessary services, pubs and restaurants. Despite its proximity to the island’s most active poles, the structure offers exclusive tranquillity, thanks to the necessary distance from the residential centres. Accessed through a large gate, it is possible to park vehicles inside, on the adjacent terracing. Walking along a lighted pathway rich in fragrant olive trees, we reach the main building, where we are greeted by a large panoramic terrace with a big dining table, several outdoor sofas and masonry seats for relaxing, admiring the unforgettable, warm and magical African sunsets, which occasionally reveal the silhouettes of Tunis. Entering, there is a living area with a sofa, TV and a small desk, all enhanced by a bright panoramic window where sea and sky seem to connect. On the same floor, there is a well-equipped masonry kitchen, a bathroom with glass shower decorated with precious blue tiles, and a double bedroom with wardrobe and dressing table. White spiral stairs take us to the lower floor, where we find a large double bedroom with wardrobe and writing desk. This has a charming tempered-glass door-window that allows direct access to the outside space, taking advantage of the canopy and its soft sofas. The outdoor area is vast, and it is possible to take advantage of the various terraces to arrange sun loungers following the direction of the sun’s rays and to use the outdoor shower lodged among the lava stones in great privacy. Two majestic staircases on either side of the central body, embellished with colourful and lush plants, provide access to the various entrances of the house. During the night, thanks to the low presence of artificial lights, the visibility of the constellations and the milky way is guaranteed; remaining comfortably in the structure, it is possible to travel with the mind and imagination among those overhead light streams. The interiors are well-kept and traditional; local elements such as fishing creels, jute paintings and decorated ceramics enrich the furnishings. The use of dark wood offers an enveloping and reassuring sensation, the shades of blue and beige blend in a harmonious and relaxing result, and what will be the frame is the surrounding landscape, uncontaminated and new every day. A dreamy and unrepeatable stay that will allow the discovery of one’s own essence without giving up the most coveted luxury: time to enjoy it.

The second largest district on the island of Pantelleria after the main town. It offers many activities to do and sensational landscapes. Being like a small village, it enjoys various amenities, such as the presence of the island’s only cinema, numerous restaurants from the most gourmet to local trattorias, a pharmacy, supermarkets and distinct shops. There are also various nightlife places where one can enjoy a good aperitif while admiring the island’s warm sunsets while catching a view of the African coastline. The presence of its own small harbour also makes it desirable and convenient for sailors. The seaside descents in this area vary from the easiest to the most difficult. Among the best known are: the warm waters of Sataria and Nikà, the Scauri lighthouse, Balata dei Turchi, Scalo della Vela. For mountain lovers, there is the possibility of walking on the slopes of Montagna Grande, trekking to the Favare, the natural saunas of Benikulà.
Lago di Venere
It is an extinct crater of an ancient volcano located in the heart of the island of Pantelleria. Its turquoise colour, which becomes more and more intense as the water depth increases, will leave you breathless. The clay base, the hot, thermal and sulphur-laden waters hide numerous beneficial properties for skin care and more. The name derives from an ancient legend that tells of the goddess Venus, who, before her encounters with the god Bacchus, used to mirror herself in these magical waters. Recent excavations have brought to light a sanctuary dating back to Roman times and it is assumed that the sanctuary was dedicated to fertility and water.
Located on the eastern side of the island of Pantelleria, it enjoys an extremely green landscape rich interraces that descend to the sea and considerable expanses of vines thanks to the fertile Mueggen soil. The presence of shops, restaurants, pharmacies and churches makes it absolutely independent and autonomous from the central town of Pantelleria. The descents to the sea are the most comfortable and well-equipped on the island, such as: The Pond of the Waves, Cala Levante, Cala Tramontana, the Elephant Arch and the Gadir Marina with its warm waters.
The name Gadir derives from Arabic and means basin of water, an appropriate name considering it is a small maritime village with its little harbour suitable for easy mooring for small boats. Known to enjoy unique and comfortable natural pools of thermal waters beneficial for the treatment of arthrosis and rheumatism. On the walls of the pools grows algae indicated for curing sinusitis, colds and minor respiratory problems. From the Gadir marina, it is possible to venture on an underwater archaeological trail, as several shipwrecks can be found in the deep waters in front of it. The rocky and wild seabed allows the marine fauna to live safely and protect themselves from external threats.
